Weekend wishes 8

Eateggs for breakfast (I think it’s required to work eggs into your Easter celebration in some form? I love this frittata from Lauren.)

Drink: Easter mimosas (This version is actually called the Fizzy Bunny. It includes carrot juice. Don’t hate me.)

Wear: Floral flats (I’m not usual that into florals, but these shoes have just the right touch. They remind me of the Easter Sunday dresses I would wear as a child. Luckily we’re past that stage!)

How will you be celebrating this weekend?

Weekend wishes 8

Find: your spring polish (All my nail colors at the moment are dreadfully dark- the opposite of what the season demands. I’m thinking OPI’s My Paprika is Hotter than Yours might spice things up!)

Mix + Match: your wardrobe (I’m planning to sort through my clothes this weekend, before starting spring shopping. While I’m at it, I hope to be inspired enough to try some new combinations with what I have.)

Addcolor! (Spring seems to be dragging it’s feet this year. Maybe if we go ahead and pretend it’s already here, it will feel more welcome? A girl can dream..)

What are you up to this weekend?

Weekend wishes 7

Mix up: a favorite recipe (This new spin on french toast has left me speechless- it’s made with angel food cake! The perfect start to a weekend morning)

Wearlayered necklaces (I think it’s the perfect way to add interest to some winter outfits you might be growing tired of. Would you give this look a try?)

Plant: spring blooms (Even better if they’re planted in these diy gold leaf pots. Plant them now, and they’ll arrive just in time for spring)

Weekend wishes 11

Make: a terrarium (I’ve always admired terrariums, but for some reason, I’ve never really considered actually getting one before. It’s such a subtle way to add life to a room. I love this one, and here is a surprisingly helpful tutorial)

Clean: for spring (Is it too early for spring cleaning? My bedroom is begging to be spruced up, so that’s where I’m going to start)

Eat: a cozy meal (This Tarragon and Sherry Pot Pie sounds perfect for March. I’m just happy I ran across it because it introduced me to this amazing blog!)

I hope you have a relaxing weekend!

Weekend wishes 9

Care for: your hair (This winter weather is seriously drying out my hair. I’m also way overdue for a trim, which certainly doesn’t help. This weekend I’m going to try out a coconut oil treatment, and maybe get around to scheduling that haircut. Do you have any hair secrets?)

Eat: Avocados (This is one of my favorite foods, but I tend to crave it most in warmer months. I loved this roundup of avocado recipes from Camille, and it gave me some great new ideas of how to eat them)

Watch: The Oscars, of course! (Are you having a viewing party? I think popcorn is must, and dressed- up caramel corn is a perfect match for such a glamorous event)

Weekend wishes 9

Create: a mix of seasons (I love how Olivia tops off a springy all white outfit with a fur-trimmed jacket. I’d love to begin incorporating hints of spring into my own winter wardrobe)

Look For: the first signs of spring (Once Valentine’s Day has passed I seem to realize that winter won’t actually last forever. I’ve already noticed that I can actually see outside past 5:00 pm, and the air has a certain freshness to it. In case you couldn’t tell, this girl cannot wait!)

Dream of: everything in the Emerson Fry spring collection (I’ve been drooling over the preview they posted, and I’m quite certain that if money were no object, my entire wardrobe would be EF. Sigh, one day…)

I hope you have a truly wonderful (three-day?) weekend!

Weekend wishes

Eat: ice cream in the winter (specifically of the chocolate & coffee variety)

Peek: inside some famous closets (I don’t know how I didn’t know about The Coveteur earlier, but it’s amazing. Emily Schuman’s feature was gorgeous, and I particularly loved looking inside Kaley Cuoco’s closet- as I’m a Big Bang Theory fan)

Watch: Superbowl ads (and the Superbowl, if you’d really like. Will you be having/ going to a party on Sunday? What’s your favorite football party food to eat?)

Hope your February’s off to a great start!
